Default Best Way To Protect Your Data Bases?

I've created several data bases within my control panel. I tried using the following in my passwords: #$@$#. However, MYSQL does not allow this to take place. So my question is how do I protect my data bases from being hacked?

    Default Databases

You dont actually set the database passwords, you create a user, protect it with a password and give rights to that user on a particular database. You can use !@#$% these in passwords. Sometimes, the administrators disable these kind of passwords, but these shouldnt be disabled. Always put strong passwords and nothing will be hacked.
